Lead: Paul Beckman, Information Systems Department

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a best-practice pedagogy that makes it easy for you to address issues of accessibility, student engagement and learning strategies for your courses. Paul Beckman, who has successfully implemented UDL in his classes through participation in the EnACT (Ensuring Access through Collaboration and Technology) grant with the Center for Teaching and Faculty Development, will discuss his practical, hands-on experience, provide an overview of the philosophy behind the techniques, and explain how UDL helps your students and you.
The Center for Teaching and Faculty Development is dedicated to ensuring equal access to everyone. To request disability accommodations for any CTFD sponsored event, please either call the Center at 415.338.6456 or e-mail the Center at ctfd@sfsu.edu at least two weeks prior to the event.
For more information on how the Center addresses accessibility and equal access, please read the CTFD Accessibility Policy.
