Writing Effective Course Syllabus

A strong syllabus is not only an introduction to you and the class—it is also a valuable instructional tool in which students are made aware of the link between the course, the program, and the profession for which they train. This session will introduce faculty to best practice standards of syllabi composition, review SF State policies, Universal Design for Learning, and provide a sample outline. Instructors should bring drafts of their own syllabi to the session.
