Bob Moyce's Five Keys to Accessible Thinking

Contributed by

Before you actually start using guidelines to make your documents and materials accessible, it is helpful to have an understanding of the philosophy behind the process. Bob has distilled accessible technology concepts down to five major elements, common to both PDF and Web; understanding these elements will help you understand what makes a document accessible and inaccessible, and aid you in ensuring that it is compliant with theĀ CSU's Accessible Technology Initiative.

  1. Structure
  2. Headings
  3. Navigation
  4. Alt Text
  5. Proper Use of URLs
