Pamela Vaughn, with CTF) Advisory Board chair Amy Love (English), presented at the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning on "The Accessibility Connection: Universal Design for Learning," October 2008, Edmonton, Canada. She also attended the CSU Faculty Development Directors' meeting at CSU Fullerton where, among other things, the group worked on a CSU Strategic Plan for Faculty Development.
Jeannie attended the 2008 Professional and Organizational Development Network in Higher Education (PODNetwork) in October and the CSU Teaching for Student Success: Train the Trainers Workshop in November 2008 (Student Writing and Assignment Design and Classroom Civility). She also presented the Overview of Universal Design for Learning to the 30 student teachers in Special Education section 770 (SPED770) Mild/Moderate Disabilities in October 2008.
Meg's activities for 2008 included presenting a workshop at the CSU regional workshops in Pomona in May (Integrating Ethical Thinking Across the Curriculum) and participating in the CSU Faculty Developer's Planning Session in April 2008 and in the "Train the Trainer's Workshop" in CSU Long Beach November 2008 (Student Civility and Writing assgnments for Students). In February 2009, Meg spent a week in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia conducting the Best Practice in the University Classroom faculty development program for Prince Sultan University.
Bob kept busy in 2008 by attending the 3rd annual California Web Accessibility Conference (CalWAC) held in Long Beach in January 2008 as well as the QCon software developers conference held in San Francisco in November 2008.
Kelli is a mystery author. Her first novel, Nox Dormienda (A Long Night for Sleeping), was published in late July, 2008, and is currently in its third printing. Kelli was most recently the winner of Left Coast Crime's 2009 Bruce Alexander Memorial Historical Mystery Award for her novel.
