Tutorial on Improving Students’ Motivation to Read and Comprehension of What is Read

Reading comprehension--and motivating students to both read the assigned material and engage with it--is one of the keystones of good teaching within all disciplines. Though fundamental to successful learning, reading comprehension can be a daunting target for teaching and learning mastery.

In this tutorial, Dr. Meg Gorzycki explains the challenges of increasing student comprehension, and provides some suggestions for faculty wishing to target this crucial area of student learning.
