The Garden - Monthly Newsletter for Faculty

"I am writing in the garden. To write as one should of a garden one must write not outside it or merely somewhere near it, but in the garden."

So opined Frances Hodgson Burnett, who knew something about the subject-she authored the classic children's book, "The Secret Garden." Gardens are the original interactive exercise. With care, they feed us, delight our senses, and nurture the soul.

We hope our Garden offers you inspiration. Think of it as a place for rejuvenation, or a restful oasis where you can stop and admire a rose. It is an extension of The Center, and an extension of the philosophy of service expressed by our Director: it is a place "where the seeds of ideas can grow in a sheltered and welcoming environment, take root and blossom in amazing and unexpected ways."
